GET A SMART START TO 2017!

Can you believe it? Here we are in the last few days of 2016! For Coaching Out of The Box^®, 2016 was a year full of opportunities, growth and positive change. We hope that over the past year you were able to develop new coaching skills as well as utilize your existing skills to make a positive impact on those around you.

I must tell you that I am very excited for 2017 and the possibilities I see for advancing the field of coaching and furthering our MISSION to see to it that EVERYONE has coaching skills. We’ve worked hard this past year (much of it behind the scenes) to bring you more in the way of education and training and provide more resources to support you. Look for even more in 2017!

So what can you do to get a smart start to 2017? If you haven’t already done so, now is the perfect time to reflect on what this year has meant to you – to look at your journey and where you are today. The start of a new year is such a great time, especially in the field of coaching. Everyone is full of hope and enthusiasm for what is possible. This creates so many opportunities for coaching; helping your coachee identify his/her goals and guiding them as they first develop their plan for success and then supporting them along that journey.

Next, take some time to create a vision for where you will go in 2017 and how can you set yourself up for success. Find your passion, develop your vision, set clear and achievable goals and don’t forget to harness the power of support. You don’t have to go it alone – there are tremendous resources out there. One resource that we have developed is the Personal Groundwork for Coaching Assessment. If you aren’t already using this tool or it’s been awhile since you last took the assessment, I urge you to take a look. This assessment tool has been carefully crafted to support the discovery process; to help you get to the root of blocks, prioritize areas to focus on first and develop a plan to tackle the issues. If you are currently a coach, take the assessment yourself first and then provide it to your coachees.
