Rob is a certified professional coach who works primarily with managers and professionals to help them mitigate or recover from professional burnout. He believes that we all need some personal satisfaction and sense of accomplishment, some spark that keeps us engaged in what we do. He is passionate about helping people take action so they don’t let burnout, stress, or dissatisfaction with circumstances at work negatively impact other areas of their life.
Rob helps his clients develop more resiliency and reflect on their values, goals and dreams. He has seen how work can start to consume people’s lives and Rob works with his clients to help them create space and develop plans to reconnect with what’s important to them in their lives. In addition to his one on one coaching Rob conducts workshops on coaching skills in the workplace. He is passionate about the impact that coaching conversations can have on improving communication within the workplace.
Rob worked with BC Hydro and Accenture for over 30 years, often in demanding management roles. In 2009 he left Accenture and pursued a coaching career. He completed professional certification through the Coaches Training Institute in May 2011 and is also a certified coach and member with the International Coach Federation.
Independent from his coaching, Rob works in the area of crisis intervention and has front line experience in supporting individuals who have experienced significant trauma. He is also a long term volunteer with Camp Goodtimes, a children’s oncology camp, and has volunteered in the past with BC Children’s Hospital and Coquitlam Search and Rescue.
