Summary
Week One established the purpose of the Personal Groundwork for Coaching Program and identified key learning concepts and takeaways. After a brief overview of what the learning will involve and expected exit performance, week one defined Building Resiliency and how we can build a resiliency muscle through exploring the sub-concepts in The Five Steps to Building Resiliency. Week One included discussions about how resiliency is a variable dependent on life circumstances and where someone is in their stage of life. Through group activities, the class was able to differentiate balance and harmony and its relationship with flow and being present in the moment. We established how we experience stress when we are out of balance and harmony. We discussed how resistance, busyness, worry, boredom, and lack of connection can take us out of being present. By the end of week one, you are able to conclude how being present has a direct impact on your coaching performance, and ultimately, your resiliency. You also crafted the beginning of your coaching presence statement.
