Not having enough of things like time, space, money, resources, opportunity, sales, people, supplies, skills and knowledge, to name a few can make anything seem much more difficult or overwhelming than it really is. Having enough, actually more than enough, can make all the difference in keeping things running smoothly. If you were to look at successful moments in history, you would find that reserves were most likely one of the key reasons for that success. Take a moment to think about what you could do if you had more than enough of just one thing you feel you’re lacking? You’d never had to worry again about not having enough of it. It would make all the difference, wouldn’t it? This is an area we seldom focus on and if more attention were given to building reserves beforehand, think about the possibilities in both business and personal environments. Instead, we are programmed to “Go! Go! Go!” in our culture and pick up what we need as we go along. We’ve put together a list of reserves that can be built if given thought and attention. With a strategy in place, each one can be attained. The place to begin is to ask yourself, “How much would be enough?” and begin with that measurable piece. Then you can put together an action plan to begin building.
