Lori is an executive coach, and leadership development specialist who is passionate about working with leaders and their teams to create high performance outcomes. She is passionate about helping leaders lead themselves and others to excellence and believes that helping leaders develop effective coaching skills and take coach approach to leadership is an important development path to creating high performance in others. She has been actively involved in teaching coaching skills to leaders since 2012.
Lori loves to connect and build strong relationships with others – everyone has a fascinating story to tell. Her warm and inclusive style creates the space for amazing things to happen. She partners with her clients to identify the real challenges and then works with them to find creative solutions to achieve success. Through individual and team coaching, retreat facilitation, and course design and delivery she works to develop leaders and teams that are capable of meeting today’s workplace challenges.
Over the last 30 years Lori has worked in adult learning, individual and leadership development, and organizational development. In the last twelve years she has added professional coaching to her portfolio. Lori has a Masters of Education Degree from the University of Toronto (Adult Education), a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching (CEC) from Royal Roads University and a Certificate in Authentic Leadership from The Banff Centre. Most recently she gained her Certificate in Conversational Intelligence™, a program that helps leaders identify what gets in the way of building strong relationships with others – up, down and across organizations. Lori also holds a Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation (CPHR and SHRM)) and a Professional Coach Certification (PCC) from the International Coach Federation. She has been a Coaching Out of the Box® 5/5/5 Coaching Skills Training Program™ Licensed Trainer since 2012.
Lori is committed to continued professional development and seeks out every opportunity to grow and develop herself and maintain best practices in coaching and leadership development. After being born and raised in Winnipeg, she spent 18 years living and working in Northern Canada in both Nunavut and Yukon Territories. As a result of this wealth of Northern experience she has a soft spot for indigenous people in Canada. She loves long trail walks in the woods, yoga, golf and is an avid reader. She has made St. Albert, Alberta her home since 2003.
