Roles Within The Faculty
The International Coaching Group Inc. (ICG) has successfully operated with the staffing philosophy of attracting experienced coaches and experienced coach trainers to be at the heart of its Faculty. We wish to put in front of our student coaches, seasoned experts in coaching who can foster an interactive learning environment and be the role model for others to aspire to. We only utilize the skills of PCC or MCC-designated coaches. We don’t aspire to be “trainers” or “educators”, rather we aspire to be Coach-Facilitators, who can coach from the front of the room. Like with coaching that brings the insight and awareness to a client at the pace they need and to the depth they want, so is the expectation of each Faculty member. | |
Roles Within the Faculty | Role Description |
Coach-Facilitator | This is the most prominent role that faces our student coaches. It is through your tutelage that coaches are born. Bringing the content and experience alive for the students in interactive and creative ways is the cornerstone of this role. You model coaching through everything you do with the students in and between the classes. |
Mentor Coach | The Mentor-Coach role is a graduating student-coach’s lifeline. When a student meets their Mentor, the education phase is almost over. Now the student needs to work with their Mentor to gain insight and feedback on how to integrate the ICF competencies into their coaching style. Here the Mentor Coach provides the student with written feedback on their live coaching, as it relates to the ICF Core Competencies, so they may be ready to create a recording for their Performance Evaluation worthy of an accredited ICF Coach. |
ICF Assessor | In this role, you will review and assess a student coach’s submitted recordings. In this role, you are acting on behalf of the ICF and providing your assessment of each recording in a consistent and fair manner. ICF-provided ACC BARS training is a pre-requisite for being an ICF Assessor. |
Coach | We offer several programs where our faculty can elect to coach our clients and students. This is a fee-based service. |
Corporate Delivery | We deliver leadership development programs to various organizations. A key program is the delivery of Purposeful Conversations. This is a fee-based service. |
Licensed Trainer or DELT | By purchasing an additional license, a faculty member may offer the 555 or Purposeful Conversations as one of their products to their own clients and accounts. This is a great way to leverage established courseware as your own. |
The Student Coach Resources hub is a dedicated space tailored to empower aspiring coaches on their academic and professional journey.
