Course Overview
This program is designed to prepare coaches who will be applying for an International Coach Federation (ICF) Credential. As part of receiving an ICF Credential coaches will be required to complete the ICF Credentialing exam(CE).*
Written by two of the pioneering coaches who wrote and developed the ICF Core Competencies, this program is designed to significantly boost critical thinking and understanding of the Competencies and Ethics.
This course is offered live online.
What to expect from this class;
- The PRIME intention of this course is to ensure you can apply the eight ICF Core Competencies to real-life coaching situations, in accordance with how the ICF would.
- Each week has up to 5 situations and in the context of a specified competency, we discuss the merits of various possible answers.
- One situation each week will be like ones on the ICF Exam, where you will NOT know the competency and must choose the “Best Action” and the “Worst Action” for that situation. (Subjective Judgment Test question format)
- We will discuss the answers to gain an understanding of the ICF thinking process and the ethical coach response relative to the competency.
- You will have access to a practice exam that emulates the types of questions and time pressure environment of the real ICF administered exam.

o ICF Code of Ethics
o ICF Core Competencies

Every ACC, PCC, and MCC credential candidate, regardless of their application path, must successfully complete a computer-based written exam conducted by ICF Credentials and Standards.
The ICF Credentialing Exam serves as a means to assess a coach’s understanding and application of the ICF definition of coaching, ICF Core Competencies, and ICF Code of Ethics.
