Arty Coppes, founder of Coppes Coaching and Consulting, is an executive coach and facilitator. For more than 9 years, Arty has coached over 200 leaders, mid level management and teams at organizations, corporations and leading medical centers.
During her coaching engagements, clients are invited to reflect on and define any issues at hand as well as barriers for growth, through a series of targeted questions. They are encouraged to challenge their assumptions, verbalize a clear vision and subsequently develop and implement an action plan in order to move forward.
Arty is able to create an environment that is conducive to clarity of thinking and the ability to clearly communicate specific barriers that prevent professional growth or the alignment of professional growth with personal and/or organizational growth.
She facilitates workshops that provide in-depth insights on the impact and effects of communication and motivation. She is a certified trainer for Coaching Out Of the Box; an approach that focuses on coaching skills for Leaders and Managers.
Ms. Coppes holds an advanced degree from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands, and her coaching degree from Royal Roads University in Canada. She is a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst, and has authored a book and articles on issues ranging from leadership to the history of medicine. Her most recent articles include: Executive Coaching in non-profit organizations and Assess for the Best, both published in Choice Magazine.
She contributed a chapter on coaching and resilience in the book “Discover Your Inner Strength” with K. Blanchard and S. Covey published in June of 09.
She served on the International Coaching Federation Metro DC Board, and initiated as well as chaired the PRISM Award, which celebrates excellence of coaching in organizations, and she is also past chair of the annual DC Coaches Conference.
