While the title of this lab might suggest a focus on coaching techniques, its true emphasis lies elsewhere.
Rather than concentrating solely on the how of coaching, this lab is designed to deepen your understanding of who you need to be as a coach during the coaching process.
To support this shift in focus, we will integrate meaningful reflection and practical exercises that highlight the mindset, presence, and behavioral adjustments necessary to coach at the PCC level. Each session, we will break down one ICF Core Competency by exploring three key areas:
- Who the Coach Needs to Be
- How the Coach Needs to Behave
- Enhanced Learning Activities
In addition, we’ll introduce you to “The Project” — a 12-week experiential learning journey.
Working in small groups of 4–5 peers, you will design and launch a real-world coaching service. Each group will be responsible for establishing its structure, securing clients, setting coaching agreements, and delivering coaching to at least four different clients, totaling a minimum of eight coaching hours.
This hands-on experience is a powerful way to apply what you’re learning while stepping fully into your role as a professional coach.
