Shirley Gilmour

A results driven change agent, facilitator, lean six sigma practitioner and Certified Executive Coach with broad experience in both the public and private sectors across multiple industries and sectors including natural resources, manufacturing, construction, education and textiles, Shirley describes herself as a traveler and life is her wild journey. 

Delivering operational excellence is Shirley’s passion; experienced in both developing and implementing business systems and key performance indicators, financial plans and budgets, strategic and operational plans.  Shirley is an effective leader and communicator, with a strong work ethic and high standards; she gets results through collaboration, innovation, learning and stakeholder involvement.

Shirley studied Forestry as a mature student at the University of Wales. “My degree in Forestry enabled me to combine a career with my love of the outdoors and to live and work in some wild, beautiful places around the globe.”  Shirley won the Institute of Business Management Prize at the University of Napier, Edinburgh in 1991 and graduated with an MBA with distinction from the University of Herriot Watt, Edinburgh in 2000. Discovering and acknowledging her mission to support committed passionate people to achieve their dreams, Shirley enrolled in the prestigious Royal Roads University, Certificate in Executive Coaching Program and graduated in April 2013. 

As a Certified Executive Coach, member of the International Coach Federation and a Licensed Trainer for the 5/5/5 Coaching Skills Training Program from Coaching Out of the Box®, Shirley brings her passion for adventure and curiosity for exploring new places to every coaching conversation.
