Jan Salisbury is the president of Salisbury Consulting. For over 25 years, Jan Salisbury, MS PCC, has been helping diverse organizations identify and realize their goals. As an executive coach and consultant, Jan Salisbury MS PCC develops leaders, organizations and teams to build engaging leaders and respectful cultures that inspire employees to deliver their best results to customers and colleagues.
Jan holds a Masters of Science in Psychology and she earned her executive coaching credentials from the College of Executive Coaching and a PCC (Professional Certified Coach) credential through the International Coach Federation. Since 1999 she has served as adjunct faculty at Boise State University teaching courses in leadership, emotional intelligence, and managing cultural differences. In her coaching and consulting work she uses valid assessments such as the Birkman, EQI (a leading measure of emotional intelligence), the Myers-Briggs Type II, and the Denison Organizational Assessment. Jan is a certified trainer for Coaching out of the Box, a leading edge program that develops coaching skills for leaders, Emotional Intelligence Diversity (EID) and a certified associate of the Galliard Group, (focused on family owned business strategy, leadership and development).
Through coaching, facilitated interventions, and training, Jan has provided services to a wide range of clients such as Healthwise, Hewlett Packard, TSUVO, Group Health Cooperative, the Washington State Migrant Council, the State of Washington and Universal Studios. Her core competencies include facilitating engaging cultures, emotional intelligence, leading diverse teams, intercultural competency, and leading change to achieve high performing leaders and teams.
Jan’s most recent professional publications include “Emotional Intelligence in the Practice of Law,” and “Coaching for Respectful Leadership.” Currently she is conducting interviews and research for her article, “Leaders in the Performing Arts: the Path from Artistic Passion to Leadership.
