The International Coaching Group Achieves ICF Level 2 Accreditation
Strengthening Our Commitment to Excellence in Professional Coaching Education
Coaching Out of the Box® by The International Coaching Group Inc. (ICG) is proud to announce that it has officially received ICF Level 2 Accreditation, one of the most recognized and respected standards in the global coaching profession.
This milestone reflects our organization's ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, competency-based coach education aligned with the rigorous standards set by the International Coaching Federation.
For more than three decades, The International Coaching Group has trained professionals around the world in coaching skills that strengthen leadership, communication, and human potential. Achieving Level 2 accreditation further reinforces ICG's dedication to excellence, ethical practice, and the continued evolution of the coaching profession.
What Level 2 Accreditation Means
The International Coaching Federation is widely regarded as the leading global authority in professional coaching, representing more than 50,000 members across over 150 countries. ICF's coach education accreditation system ensures that training programs meet the highest professional standards and align with the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics.
Level 2 Accredited programs are designed to prepare coaches for the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential, one of the most recognized credentials in the coaching industry. According to ICF guidelines, Level 2 programs must include:
- A minimum of 125 hours of coach-specific training
- Mentor coaching aligned with ICF standards
- Observed coaching sessions with feedback
- Training grounded in the ICF Core Competencies
- A structured pathway toward PCC credentialing
- 500 hours of coaching practice
These programs undergo a comprehensive review process by ICF to ensure they meet strict criteria related to curriculum design, faculty qualifications, assessment processes, and ethical coaching practices.
Raising the Standard for Coach Education
Receiving Level 2 accreditation reflects ICG's long-standing commitment to preparing coaches not only with skills, but with the depth of understanding required to practice coaching ethically and effectively at a higher standard.
"This recognition from the International Coaching Federation reinforces something that has always been central to our work, a commitment to quality, integrity, and excellence in coach education. Coaching continues to grow as a profession, and with that growth comes the responsibility to maintain high standards. Level 2 accreditation affirms that the training we provide meets those expectations." — Pablo Leites, President, The International Coaching Group
Leites also noted that the recognition arrives at a time when coaching skills are becoming increasingly essential across industries.
"Organizations and leaders today face unprecedented complexity. Coaching provides a framework for thoughtful leadership, meaningful conversations, and human-centered decision-making. Preparing coaches to do that work well matters more than ever." — Pablo Leites, President, The International Coaching Group
A Legacy of Coach Education
Founded by Alison Hendren, MCC, Coaching Out of the Box® by The International Coaching Group Inc. has been a pioneer in coach training since 1996. Alison envisioned a world where coaching skills were accessible not only to professional coaches but to leaders, educators, and professionals seeking to foster meaningful conversations and growth.
Today, more than 55,000 learners across 38+ countries have participated in ICG's programs, building coaching capabilities that support leadership development, organizational change, and personal transformation.
The newly recognized Level 2 Accredited program continues that legacy by integrating experiential learning, live coaching practice, mentor coaching, and reflective development aligned with ICF standards.
Coaching's Growing Global Impact
The demand for professional coaching continues to expand worldwide. According to the ICF Global Coaching Study, the coaching industry generated an estimated $4.5 billion USD in global revenue, reflecting the increasing adoption of coaching across leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and personal growth.
At the same time, organizations are placing greater emphasis on leadership approaches that emphasize listening, empathy, and collaboration, capabilities that are foundational to professional coaching. Programs accredited at Level 2 play an important role in ensuring that the growth of the profession is supported by consistent standards, ethical practice, and high-quality training.
Looking Ahead
As The International Coaching Group celebrates this achievement, the focus remains on continuing to elevate the standards of coach education while expanding access to coaching skills around the world. Level 2 accreditation represents more than recognition. It reflects a continued commitment to supporting coaches, leaders, and professionals in developing the competencies needed to create meaningful impact.
"Coaching is one of the most powerful human skills we have. It changes how people think, how they lead, and how they show up in the world. In times like these, we don't just need more information, we need more people who can listen deeply, think clearly, and engage with others in a meaningful way. Achieving Level 2 accreditation strengthens our commitment to developing coaches who can meet that need at the highest standard." — Pablo Leites, President, The International Coaching Group
