I have a new found faith in my coaching abilities and a deeper understanding of mentor coaching. Learning from Lerae and Carolyn has been a treat. I have sharpened my skills and I now have the confidence to step into the role of mentor coach. I loved being in community with the other coaches in the program. I felt safe, seen and heard every step of the way.  Lerae brings a wealth of experience, warmth, wisdom and compassion to the table. I am forever impressed with her ability to get to the heart of the matter and shift my perspective.  Carolyn is incredibly generous with her time and energy. The care she brings to her work is evident in every interaction. I love her candour and deep passion for coaching. I feel more confident and resourced as a coach. I have new tools at my disposal which will sharpen my coaching skills. I am enriched and edified by the experience. This course has been a gift. I feel refreshed and renewed.Thank you so much!

My program learning goal was simple: to improve and refresh my mentor- coaching knowledge and skills. My expectations were met each week, and I feel so fortunate that I was able to be part of this training. I believe that I was gradually slipping into an ICF assessor role, losing my emphasis on the mentor coaching role. This training has realigned my approach. I am getting better at blending my focus on adherence to the observed ICF core competencies with a genuine coaching approach.   I am finding that by doing a more thorough job at co-creating the relationship up front, my coaching is more relaxed. That in turn appears to create a more supportive atmosphere as the coach/ clients don’t fear being judged as much as they appreciate my honest observations. This training has rekindled my desire to remain a continuous learner throughout my life. The in-class participation required complete focus, and the rigorous fieldwork activities took personal perseverance and dedication. I’m satisfied that I gave each my sincere effort, and don’t regret the time spent. I cannot separately evaluate of the two of you, Carolyn and Lerae; you make such a wonderful team. Your in-depth knowledge, engaging delivery, and obvious passion for coaching made this program an invaluable experience. Your shared expertise in facilitating discussions and encouraging participation created a positive and collaborative learning environment. I appreciated the impactful examples of good mentor coaching and real-world coaching that you both shared and exhibited. I also appreciated your patience when we high-jacked the agenda with our questions and then tailored the sessions to our on-the-spot needs. The most significant take away from this program overall was the powerful and seamless flow that can be created when mentor coaching is done well and how it honors the client’s spirit and growth as an ICF coach. Completing this program was a huge success in itself. I could not have done so without the balance of knowledge, practice, feedback, application, and growth that the program offers.

The Becoming a Mentor Coach program was significant in helping me to build trust and confidence in myself and my ability to be an impactful Mentor Coach.  This program helped me to develop and expand on a skill set for Mentoring, and more importantly, helped me connect to a deeper way of "being" as a Mentor.  Having done so much "inner work" on my coaching journey, I could not have imagined the degree of personal development I experienced by participating in this program.  It exceeded all of my expectations!

I want to share my gratitude to Carolyn and Lerae for creating such a beautiful space for learning and growing. Gratitude for the both of you being part of my journey, and such valued parts of my community.

My desired outcome was absolutely met as I am walking away feeling more confident, versed, and able to articulate the coaching competencies within a coaching conversation. I also feel like I have added to my community of support and met new friends with like-minded values and goals.

Like coaching, mentor coaching is a dance that must be adapted to the coach, their goals, their levels and what they want from the mentoring. I learned to integrate my coach approach with the knowledge needed to provide feedback to the coach and increase their development vis a vis ICF Competencies.

I've learned that I'm an excellent tag-team mentor coach partner! My strengths come from my coach approach and I need to be bold and curious in elevating my client’s brilliance and offering observations in a way to strengthen, and hence bring the coach approach, in the ACC/PCC accreditation process. As a facilitator, Lerae was confident yet willing to share vulnerability when it mattered. She is a Tango Master and a curious and creative question asker who explores and leans into whatever she experiences in the coaching conversations. I learned so much just by watching and absorbing her mentor coach approach. My description of Carolyn as a facilitator is that she is energy extraordinaire, a light Shiner, and ultimate-uplifter! These are infused within her coach and mentor coach approaches. I admire her ability to create safety and trust from the beginning.
