Course Overview
The COTBx One-to-One Mentor Coach Program consists of three individual mentor coaching sessions with an ICF-credentialed coach.
Mentoring provides professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency and capability demanded by the ACC and PCC credential levels.
Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential consists of coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative, and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach’s capability in coaching, in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies.
An ICF Credential applicant is required to complete 10 hours of mentor coaching consisting of two components: Three or more hours of one-on-one Mentoring Coaching time with an ICF credentialed coach, PLUS a maximum of seven hours of Group Mentor Coaching.
This mentoring program satisfies the first component, the one-to-one Mentoring Coaching time, for the ICF requirement of credentialing candidates on the ACC (Level 1), PCC (Level 2), or either Portfolio paths to complete prior to submitting their application.
COTBx has you covered for the second competent as well. Our Advanced Coaching Skills Practicum is the program to enroll into if you need seven additional hours of group Mentor coaching provided by an ICF-credentialed coach.
Your One-to-One mentoring experience takes place over a period of six weeks. We recommend you schedule your sessions once every two weeks or less. This cycle allows you to receive feedback and integrate that feedback into practice before the next review of your coaching.
