Create The Transcript

How do I create a transcript of my best recording?

You are here because you have a final audio recording you feel is worthy of submitting as proof of your ACC-level coaching.  The assessors require the audio recording AND a correctly formatted written transcript of what was said on the recording.  Both files need to be submitted to us to perform your ACC-level performance evaluation.

This is what THE ICF requires for your transcript.

Please review the following guidelines for the recorded coaching session transcript to be submitted for assessment for your Credential application.

  • The transcript must be a word-for-word (verbatim) record of the coaching session(s), submitted in the language in which the session is held.
  • The Transcript must indicate who is speaking—using the label of “Coach” or “Client”—at all time in the conversation.  NOTE: Default labels of S1 and S2 are NOT acceptable.
  • List the coach’s statements and the client’s statements on separate lines of the transcript.
  • The transcript must include timestamps at every change in speaker (with the “Coach” label and “Client” label).
  • Transcript must be submitted as a Word document (e.g., .doc, .docx). No other file formats will be accepted.

There are many services that offer the ability to transcribe your recording.

No matter what service you use, be sure to proofread every line and correct the text to exactly match the audio recording.

We have prepaid for this service for you. One-time use.  Submit your final audio file through this link.

IMPORTANT: You must  ONLY submit an AUDIO file. Not a VIDEO. An audio file typically ends in MP3, WAV, MP4, M4A, or OGG.   If your file is a video, then you need to strip the audio portion off the video.  A free and simple service that is located at https://online-audio-converter.com/. Use the standard or Economy settings.

What happens next?  TranscribeMe will process your submission and send the results directly to the email you specified when you uploaded your file.  The typical turnaround is 3 to 4 days. Please review your transcript and ensure that the transcript clearly states who is speaking, Client/Coach,h and update any S1/S2 from the document.

FILE SIZE TOO LARGE?    See above and use the Economy setting, OR  see the guidance from Transcribe me.

You can either click the plus sign or select a folder option. Upload the audio file you need to be transcribed.
In the ‘Email to’ section, type sales_support@transcribeme.com.
Provide your information in the ‘Your email’ and ‘Title’ sections.
In the Message section of the form, please include the text that this is a Coaching out of the Box Exam, and hit ‘Transfer’. Remember to hit ‘Submit’ on this form regardless of whether you attach your audio here or via WeTransfer.

Only one Submission is allowed per IP address.
If you need to submit a re-exam, please reach out to your instructor for approval, and they will supply a link to submit your 2nd audio.
If you made an error in submitting your first audio exam, please reach out to Sales_Support@Transcribeme.com and let them know. They will instruct you on how to resubmit.
