UPLOAD Transcript

Upload Your Transcript.

Use this section to upload your transcription document to our ICF Assessors to conduct your formal Performance and Evaluation.

Things to check before you upload your file to us.
  1. The transcript must be a word-for-word (verbatim) record of the coaching session.
  2. The transcript must use “Coach” and “Client” labels (not real names) to indicate who is speaking at all times in the conversation. NOTE: Default labels of S1 and S2 are NOT acceptable.
  3. List the coach’s statements and the client’s statements on separate lines of the transcript.
  4. Transcript must include timestamps at every change in speaker (coach and client).
  5. Transcript must be submitted as a Word document (e.g., .doc, .docx). No other file formats will be accepted.
  6. The document file must be in one part. Multiple files for one coaching session will not be reviewed.
  7. You must upload the actual document file. Providing a URL to download or stream audio recordings will not be accepted.
  8. RENAME your file to include YOUR NAME and ensure that you use only letters and numbers. Please be sure there are no special characters in your document name (? / | \ ! @ # = $ % +) in order to avoid issues when uploading your file.

Note: If the above ICF requirements are not met, your entire submission may be REJECTED, requiring errors to be corrected and all files to be re-submitted.

When you are satisfied with your file, please upload.

CRITICAL ADVISORY

ICF Requirement:

Your Performance Evaluation recording must be from a real coaching session between you and a paid or pro bono client. The session must not be part of your coaching education, a mentoring session, or any session used as a component of a training or assessment program.

  • The client may not be a coach, unless they are a regular coaching client.

  • A regular client is someone who works with you solely for coaching purposes and not for education, practice, mentoring, or assessment.

By closing this pop-up, you confirm that you have met or will meet this requirement, along with all other ICF-mandated criteria for your recording.

Failure to meet these requirements will very likely result in a FAILED status on your Performance Evaluation.
