Karmen is a certified coach with a unique background as a lawyer, post-secondary educator, and as a leader in law as well as in the not-for-profit sector. The focus of her work as a coach and facilitator (her “happy place”) is helping individuals and teams develop advanced skills in communication, conflict management, and leadership.
Karmen received her Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching through Royal Roads University in 2017 and is credentialed through the International Coach Federation (ICF). She holds an LL.B. and B.A. from the University of Alberta and will complete the Professional Mentor Coach program through Royal Roads University in July 2022. She currently serves on boards for the Alberta Lawyers’ Assistance Society, the ICF Edmonton Chapter, and is a member of the advisory committee for the Mawji Centre for Entrepreneurship and New Venture at NAIT in Edmonton, AB.
