Kerry Black is a Certified Executive Coach and owner of BLACK INK COACHING. Kerry’s focus is on supporting and developing exceptional leaders no matter their formal designation. She believes that Coaching skills are an essential part of the workplace toolbox. Her goal is to support leaders who want to transform themselves and their workplaces into engaging environments that make a difference for people. Kerry develops supportive relationships that allow clients to explore, develop and achieve, and believes that each person is capable and able to do great things.
Kerry is a life long learner. She is proud to be a Royal Roads University trained Executive Coach. She holds Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees as well as the Canadian Professional in Human Resources designation (CPHR), Certificates in Adult Education and Human Resources, and is trained in Conflict Mediation. Before becoming a coach, Kerry was an Educator, School Principal, and Consultant in Leadership Development. Her clients include leaders in not for profit groups, in University and public education, health care, and in IT and Oil and Gas sectors. Clients describe her as forthright, focused, and compassionate.
Kerry is licensed to facilitate the 5/5/5 Coaching Skills Training Program™ and Using Coaching to Lead™ from Coaching Out of The Box®, and she is a Level II Certified Facilitator of the Strength Deployment Inventory®.
A dedicated volunteer, Kerry serves as a Career Coach for the Calgary Public Library, and as Membership Director for the International Coach Federation Calgary Charter Chapter. She is also an experienced public speaking judge, working with 4-H and also Cochrane Rodeo Royalty.
