I have a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University. I have been coaching and mentoring as part of my functions as Associate Vice-President at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and through my volunteer work with organizations such as the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services of Ottawa. I am a member of the International Coach Federation and I am working toward my accreditation. I am an avid reader and is particularly interested in the scientific foundation of coaching.

In addition to my recent certification, I hold a B.Sc.A. and an M.Sc. in Agronomy from Université Laval, a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Carleton University, a Graduate Certificate in Health System Leadership from Royal Roads University.

I have a strong interest to contribute to the improvement of the Federal Public Service by coaching professionals who are in transition to become executives or for the executives who are moving from a position of being technical expert to a role of being a generalist. My practice is also opened to other executives and managers who need a thinking partner for personal growth in a rapidly changing world and who are under pressure to produce more with fewer resources.

I strive to incorporate attributes of perseverance, courage and excellence building on my experience and learning from people who I have the privilege to interact with. Finally, I follow ‘Rule number 6’ from Benjamin Zander (The Art of Possibilities, Penguin Books, 2002) of not taking myself seriously – and there is no other rule! My coaching presence includes strong listening, quiet leadership and a belief in every individual’s ability. It also reflects curiosity, humility and sincerity. My calm demeanor invites people to confide in me.
