Coaching as a Force for Good

Proud to Stand With the ICF Foundation as a Scholarship Provider

Coaching Out of the Box® is proud to be one of the coaching education providers supporting the ICF Foundation's Scholarship Program, recognised in the Foundation's 2025 Year in Review. Alongside the global coaching community, we're helping open the door to accredited coach training for aspiring coaches from underrepresented communities around the world, because we believe coaching is a human skill that should be within reach of anyone called to it.

Why this matters to us

For 30 years, our work has rested on a simple belief: coaching is a human skill worth teaching well, and it belongs to everyone. Our mission has always been to put coaching skills in the hands of as many people as possible, not just those training to become professional coaches, but leaders, helpers, and everyday people who want to have better conversations. Supporting the ICF Foundation's Scholarship Program is that belief in action, helping open the door to coaching for people who might otherwise never get the chance.

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the International Coaching Federation, and its Scholarship Program expands access to accredited coaching education for aspiring coaches who face financial barriers to training. For providers like us, offering a scholarship seat is more than a donation. It is an investment in the next coach, the next community, and the change that follows.

The impact this community made in 2025

The Foundation's 2025 Year in Review shows what becomes possible when the coaching community comes together. Across its Scholarship Program, Ignite Initiative, and Special Projects, the numbers tell a story of real, measurable good:

85
aspiring coaches supported through scholarships
28
coaching education providers worldwide
17
UN Sustainable Development Goals impacted

Beyond the Scholarship Program, the Foundation supported 77 social impact projects, engaged more than 900 credentialed coaches, and served over 1,400 coaching clients across communities working on some of the world's most pressing challenges, from housing instability to inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.

"You may never see the return, you may never know the ripple effect you set off in someone's life, but it is so rewarding. It fills my heart." ICF Foundation scholarship provider, 2025 Year in Review

Access is part of the mission

We've always believed that talent and calling are not limited by circumstance, but access to training too often is. A coach trained in one community carries those skills back into it, creating a ripple effect that reaches far beyond any single classroom or client.

That is exactly what the Scholarship Program makes possible: it helps aspiring coaches from underrepresented communities earn their place in the profession, and then carry coaching forward to the people around them. Being part of that work, alongside coaching schools and donors across the globe, is a genuine honour.

Coaching as a force for good

The coaching profession is at its best when it reaches beyond individual growth to strengthen communities and systems. That's the future we want to help build.

We're grateful to the ICF Foundation for the work it does, and proud to stand alongside a global community that believes, as we do, in the power of coaching to help people and societies thrive.
