Get Started
In the Personal Coaching program, YOU are the Coachee being coached by an ICF Credentialled Coach. This is a learning and growth opportunity as you experience true coaching from a PCC or MCC-designated coach.
There is no better way to learn coaching than being coached.
These coaching sessions are fully client-led, meaning the agenda is determined by you. You are free to bring any topic that is real and meaningful to you—there are no restrictions, as long as the topic reflects an authentic area of focus in your life or development.
Past participants have found value in exploring topics such as:
- Navigating a personal or life dynamic
- Clarifying their learning goals within the coach training program
- Identifying and addressing barriers to their learning
- Exploring strategies for finding practice clients
- Advancing toward a specific personal or professional goal
- Shifting a behavior, belief, or mindset to grow as a coach
Please note: Your personal coach is not acting as a Mentor-Coach or advisor. If you bring a topic such as “feedback on my coaching,” your coach will respond as they would to any client request—by supporting you to generate your own insights and solutions, not by evaluating or advising.

Program Guidelines
Working with Your Professional Coach
Once you’re paired with your professional coach, you will have three hours of coaching in total. Early on, take time to discuss how you can best work together to make the most of your time.
Make It Real
We strongly encourage you to bring personal, non-coaching-related topics to these sessions. This is your opportunity to experience the full power of coaching by focusing on your own growth, development, and self-discovery. The more real and authentic you are, the more meaningful the experience will be.
Prepare Before Each Session
Before every session, complete the Focus Form provided in the section below. This helps you clarify what you’d like to explore.
Send it to your coach in advance so they can come prepared to support you fully.
Reflect After Each Session
After your session, revisit the Focus Form and use it to reflect on what you learned, what shifted, and what you want to carry forward.
Send your reflection to your coach to continue the conversation and deepen your learning.
Keep Going
After your three sessions, if you found the experience valuable and feel a strong connection with your coach, you’re welcome to continue working with them privately. Feel free to ask about their rates and explore what an ongoing coaching relationship could look like.
Great coaches have coaches.
This is your chance to experience why.
Personal Coaching vs. Jump Start vs. Peer-Peer vs. Mentor Coaching
Your rapid development to a credentialled coach will involve the support of various coaches. Let’s break them down here.
PERSONAL COACH – This very program. We have increased the coaching time allocated because you are in the Level 2 program. You are the Coachee being coached by an ICF Credentialed Coach. This is a learning and growth opportunity as you experience true coaching from a PCC or MCC-designated coach.
JUMPSTART COACH – You may recognize this program from the level 1 or Associate Level Fast Track. This also was a learning and growth opportunity as you experience true coaching from a PCC or MCC-designated coach.
PRACTICE PARTNERS – In several of the courses your faculty will assign you a fellow student to practice with between the classes. Take full advantage of trying out your new skills in a safe learning environment. The time you coach will count for the needed Coach Experience Hours.
PEER-TO-PEER – This is a FREE service and is unique to our school. Monday – Thursday we host a meeting where any student-coach can show up and be assigned a coach partner for the hour. In your breakout room, you coach them for half the time and they coach you for half the time. You will not only experience coaching and learn from your assigned coach but, when you are coaching this counts for the needed Coaching Experience Hours. If these set times/days do not fit within your schedule, join our Facebook Group to connect with other peers looking for coaching partners.
MENTOR COACHING – This is the big leagues and a vital part of what you need to apply to the ICF for a credential. For a Fast-Track student coach, mentor coaching comes in two forms: Group Mentor Coaching and One-to-One Mentor coaching. Once you start the Advanced Coaching Skills Practicum, you will be told more about the programs. ICF-approved Mentor Coaching hours are specifically focused on skill and competency development.
YOUR COACH – This would be a coach you hire and work with now and over your career as a coach. We will introduce you to what it is like to be coached, via these programs and encourage you to find a suitable coach to support your ongoing growth as a professional.
