Dori brings innovative, creative and unique learning strategies to facilitation and leadership development. Her mantra, “it’s about the learning” is integrated into both personal and professional realms. She believes that success is correlated with connections and relationships with people. Her coaching style is to boldly help people enhance relationships, achieve balance and create intention. She will partner with you to find new possibilities to your challenges or help maximize your potential.

Dori has over 20 years of healthcare experience. Her clinical background in pediatric oncology grounded her with the privilege and compassion in the service of others. She has created, developed and facilitated many employee development programs, including foundational healthcare leadership programs integrating coaching. She has witnessed the value of coaching with healthcare leaders as they transition to a leadership style that values openness, curiosity and compassion. Creating a coaching culture in the healthcare environment has empowered leaders and healthcare professionals to function more effectively with their teams to foster a respectful workplace making it safer for the organization, patients and families.

Dori has a BSc in Nursing from U of Alberta, an MA in Leadership and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching both from Royal Roads University. Her current role, as Senior Leader in Clinical Education at BC Children’s Hospital, PHSA, focuses on professional development, leadership and interprofessional programs as well as internal coaching. She is a member of the International Coach Federation and the NeuroLeadership Institute. Dori is active in the community organizing food drives and volunteering at the high school coaching girls volleyball. She founded the Stars Volleyball Club to increase opportunities for young girls to play. She enjoys spending time with her family, pets, friends and community taking advantage of the trails and keeping fit in North Vancouver.
