A registered nurse for more than 30 years, Valerie specialized in the long term care and public health sectors and spent the past 25 years in leadership roles. Her passion for coaching emerged through the evolution of her own leadership skills and a strong desire to assist other leaders achieve sustainable growth and success in their careers and lives.
Valerie offers leadership coaching to a variety of individuals in both for profit and not for profit organizations. She was a co-facilitator for the Coaching Out of the Box program at Northern Health from 2011 to 2016. Most recently, she added grief support coaching to her services in order to support clients faced with significant losses in their lives.
Valerie provides a supportive and trusting environment that helps clients uncover their own strengths, passions and resiliency. Her calm, relaxed demeanor opens the door for clients to deeply explore their own potential while, at the same time, challenging them to take action.
Valerie is a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) through Royal Roads University, an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation, and a Certified LEADS Coach for the Canadian Healthcare Leader’s Association. She is also a 2014 recipient of the Excellence in Nursing Administration award from the College of Registered Nurses of BC. She anticipates achieving certification as a Grief Support Coach through the Creative Grief Studio by mid-2017.
